Artist’s Statement
This
exhibition is a showcase of Aek Phakiti’s seascape oil paintings on canvas. The
song/metaphor ‘Wind beneath my wings’ underlines the theme of these paintings.
This theme is to acknowledge that other people, such as our family, colleagues
and friends, help us succeed our goal. Their love, encouragement and concern
for us are important sources of energy that help us achieve and shine. It is
hence important to let them know that they are much appreciated. So, don’t
forget to thank people who have been supportive of you and tell them “you are
the wind beneath my wings” (Jeff Sibar & Larry Henley, 1982).
